Malke Torgow

Malke Torgow was raised in Los Angeles, California in a very devoted Jewish home. She has grown up being exposed to her love of Judaism by living amongst Jewish people of all backgrounds.

After marriage she and her husband moved to Detroit Michigan. Malke served with the Jewish Federation as a member of the Women’s Philanthropy Board, with Machon L’Torah educating classes for Women by Women, and with the Yad Ezra Board promoting community outreach. Malke continued her education and helped many women connect with their Judaism through Torah classes and programs.

Over the past 10 years,  she has helped lead the Women’s Division of Partners Detroit, with missions to Israel and Europe as well as one on one learning and counseling. Malke enjoys spending time being a grandmother, doing pilates, knitting, needlepointing. Presently Malke has returned to school to receive a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling.
