Core connects, develops and sustains women who engage in klal work.

We support women at the core of our communities in three main ways:

  • MMC (Mashpia-Mentor-Counselor) Program: Core offers 2.5 years of training to develop women who are pillars of spiritual support within our communities
  • Communities of Practice: Core connects women who share a field of Jewish service and offers continuing inspiration and education
  • Core Circles: Core supports women who facilitate Core Circles, small groups that strengthen relationships in local communities, and networks those Circles both regionally and internationally

Core has a rigorous two and a half year spiritual mentorship and counseling training program.

Women who share a field of Jewish service connect with one another, offer peer support and have access to continuing education and development.

A Core Circle is a micro-community of 5-15 women who get together regularly to nurture meaningful relationships with each other, with God and with the Torah.

Words From the Women We Touch

“The Core Circle that I’m a part of has brought me the greatest connection into my life.”  Words are inadequate to describe what that feels like to me and to my family.  Thank you!”

~Core Circle participant, Monsey, NY

I wear many hats and have been part of the Core Communities since its inception and have been enriched, inspired, informed, educated and encouraged by the diverse community leaders who are always there for me.”

“I’m coming away feeling filled and blessed! I also marvel at the kind of environment this Core MMC creates at her school every day- warm, loving, accepting, open, forward-thinking! She is a true leader in Core signature style; she builds people as she creates space and opportunities for others to flourish!

Thank you Aliza for creating this space and for all the training, wisdom and connections!!”

~Core MMC

“Over the last few days there have been incredible meaningful conversations on a few of our groups [communities of practice].  Here we are, across the globe, sharing the same struggles, and offering ideas and experiences.”

~Kallah Teacher Community Member

I did a tahara this morning and I have to tell you my kavanah was totally different since joining this group.  Thank you Elissa.  Thank you Rebbetzin Yehudis Golshevsky for all your teachings and explanations of the tefillah and our minhagim.  And thank you to all of you who share your experiences and insights.  Such a special group.  So proud to be a part!”

~Chevra Kadisha Community Member

“Thank you for your recent virtual class. I think your program is a real game changer and as I start with another new kallah today, I feel very gratified to have the tools, platforms, and resources you have initiated for the global(!) kallah teacher community.”
